Description:
The USCHI (Ultra Sophisticated Computing Hardware Information) system is a lightweight package for executing various test modules on a remote hardware host. It was mainly designed to monitor the functionality of a CMS VoBox at the Tier1 site GridKa. Due to its modular setup, it can easily be adapted to run and test any Linux based system.

The USCHI core system generates an XML output file which is then harvested by the corresponding HF modules. Each available module uschi_*.py reads out a dedicated part of the XML file and visualizes it's content.

Module: dCacheDataManagement

Description:
This module combines information from a chimera dump and DBS to find out which datasets are available on disk to what extent. It also shows the size occupied by all files in chimera, including (total on disk) or excluding (bare on disk) replicas. "Bare total" is the total space occupied by all files including the ones on tape storage.

Further Information:
The module reads an XML file which is generated by a stand-alone tool by processing the chimera dump and querying DBS. It is available as chimera.py
